Our company

We have extensive experience in the construction industry, starting from technical and managerial roles to senior management positions. Our expertise spans sectors including education, retail, commercial, industrial, and residential. We provide consulting services such as viability/feasibility reports, detailed cost plans, and bills of quantities, using methods employed by large main contractors to assess project viability. Our mission is to help clients navigate the construction process efficiently and cost-effectively, leveraging our insider knowledge and practical experience.

Director

Ben Taylor

With over 17 years in pre-construction for Main Contractors in Lincolnshire, Ben started as an Assistant Estimator and advanced to Estimating Manager, overseeing tender submissions for a £150m+ turnover contractor for 8 years. His expertise includes tender appraisals, budget cost plans, feasibility studies, bills of quantities, managing pre-construction phases, and cost control during builds. Ben’s insider knowledge of contractor operations is invaluable for clients. He also completed his own self-build within budget and co-founded Build Manager Ltd.

Matthew Jones

Matt has 18 years of experience in construction, working in technical, professional, and senior management roles. Starting as a setting-out engineer, he progressed to site management and contracts management, overseeing multi-million-pound commercial projects. Most recently, he managed public sector procurement and tender quality submissions for Lindum Group. Matt holds OND & HND in Building Studies, along with various industry certifications. He also completed his own self-build and co-founded Build Manager Ltd. Outside of work, Matt enjoys riding classic trials bikes and summer golfing.
Commercial Manager

Jay Mallia

Having worked in construction for 18 years, Jay has completed projects with values from 500k to £15m and has spent time on site as a QS for heavy civil engineering projects, as an estimator for building projects, and in pre construction developing schemes to successful completion. Working for both public clients on frameworks and private developments, with experience across a breadth of sectors including retail, industrial, education, food, housing and the NHS. Most notably Jay enjoys the collaboration and coordination on projects from early feasibility to successful completion on site. Working with design teams and clients to develop functional and economical solutions. With a commercial background Jay can offer skills in reviewing contract documents, producing cost plans, supporting clients with development finance applications, tendering process including creating BOQs, appraisals, valuations, comparisons and final accounts.

We collaborate with you to develop detailed designs and plans. Our team produces a Bill of Quantities (schedule of works) to outline the scope and cost of the project.

Pre-Construction Management

We manage the pre-construction phase, identifying potential risks and cost-saving opportunities. Our experience in tender appraisals and budget cost plans ensures that your project is set up for success.

Construction Management

Our team leverage their extensive experience to oversee the construction phase, ensuring quality control, adherence to health and safety legal requirements, and effective cost management. Their firsthand knowledge of large main contractor operations provides invaluable insights and advantages to our clients.

We ensure that every aspect of the project is completed to the highest standards before handing it over to you. Our goal is to make the building process smooth and stress-free, leaving you with a finished product that exceeds your expectations.
